I decided what my project is going to be for my playwriting class this term!
So I’m really fascinated by the way human emotions work. Specifically, the way that in the midst of a sad time or a happy time, we can experience emotions that contradict that. So how you can laugh and experience joy in a time of grieving, or how you can have moments or times of sadness on your wedding day, or whatever (I don’t know, I’ve never married anyone).
THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN: I want to hear about your experiences with grief/tragedy/sadness—specific moments or long arcs or anything in between. Anything you send will be so so appreciated, but especially these moments of happiness within a time of sadness.
I want to use your experiences/your moments as the basis for a play/series of scenes and monologues…! You can have as much or as little involvement in the actual inclusion of your experience as you want, and I’ll make sure you get to read the whole thing when it’s done!
SO. YOU CAN WRITE IN MY ASK, EMAIL ME (johanna (dot) maren (at) gmail (dot) com), OR ANSWER BELOW IF IT’S SHORT! THANK YOU!
